Mirepa SME Ventures Support the Scaling Readiness Program for Ed-tech Entrepreneurs: Phase III

At Mirepa, we’ve learned this: Scaling is not a moment, it’s a discipline.

The team supported Reach for Change Ethiopia under the Mastercard Foundation EdTech Fellowship (Cohort 3), working with 12 EdTech ventures during Immersion Week.

What stood out wasn’t just the learning, it was the shift.
From: “What are we building?”
To: “What will it take to scale this sustainably?”

During the week, we focused on building clarity before execution:
-Honest diagnostics on scaling readiness
-Business model vs. technology focus
-Peer learning and real-world frameworks
-Challenging assumptions about growth vs. scale

Because scaling is not just about getting bigger. It is about building systems that can hold complexity.

The Mirepa Platform also expanded its proprietary tools to better support this journey, enabling real-time tracking of MVP evolution, alignment across stakeholders, and more disciplined execution beyond the room.

Even more encouraging is seeing signals from past cohorts, with ventures like Fidel Tutorial and Ethio IQ progressing into strategic partnerships.
